DIY Christmas Ornaments
The holidays are filled with creative possibilities and as a newbie crafter, I try to find inspiration in everything I come in contact with. This Christmas season I was inspired to make DIY Christmas ornaments. I was working with a clean slate because last year we threw out our old Christmas tree and we also changed our Christmas theme colours.
My initial thought was to buy new Christmas ornaments and to purchase tons of Christmas decor. However, I did not want to spend too much money and I also knew that idea was not going to sit well with my husband. I opted for the next best option, which was to make DIY Christmas ornaments. It was cost effective as well as a great way to get my creative juices flowing. I made beautiful DIY Christmas ornaments this holiday season and It was so easy, I have decided to make Christmas ornaments every year from now on.
Personally, I love to go overboard with everything and Christmas ornaments are no exception. Except this time it was a DIY and some of my ideas were just way too nutty.
I developed a rule of thumb since it was my first time taking on this DIY. To reduce the chances of getting overwhelmed, I decided to make ornaments that were fast, easy and meaningful. The ornaments came out better than I had anticipated. I am super proud of the end result; the possibilities were truly endless. I can’t wait to see what I come up with next. Cheers to possibilities!
I am definitely going to make the ornament with the beads inside. It reminds me of an ornament I inherited from my Granny that has yellow feathers inside.
